Our data and insights are made to be shared, but we do ask that you cite correctly according to the simple rules below, and always include a link back to gositch.com.au for reference.
Using Public Sitch Data
If you wish to reference publicly available Sitch data, already accessible through publicly issued reports, previews, website pages or press without a Sitch membership of any kind (i.e. free or paid), simply adhere to the attribution standards below.
Using Restricted Sitch Data Internally
If you wish to reference proprietary data that requires platform access or is otherwise not publicly available internally at your organisation, please adhere to the attribution standards below.
Using Restricted Sitch Data Externally
If you wish to reference proprietary data that requires platform access of any kind (i.e. free or paid) or is otherwise not publicly available, please reach out to support@gositch.com.au beforehand. We typically approve requests related to your own brand-specific data. For data that relates to other organisations, we'll need additional context about your intended use, keeping in mind our commitment to ethical data usage.
Attribution Standards
- When using data directly from our platform: "According to Sitch analytics, [your company name] has identified..."
- Source citations should include 'Sitch' along with relevant details such as quarter/year, specific categories, and demographic information when applicable (example: “Sitch, Q4 2024, Automotive"). For tools, dashboards and deep dives, this information can be found at the bottom of the page before the footer. For reports, it can be found at the end of the report in the Study Parameters.
- For trend analysis spanning multiple periods, note the full range (example: "Sitch Category Analysis, Q3 2023 through Q1 2025"). For tools, dashboards and deep dives, this information can be found at the bottom of the page before the footer. For reports, it can be found at the end of the report in the Study Parameters.
- When referencing our published reports or content, a simple "Sitch research shows" or "According to Sitch data" is sufficient. For specific data points from our reports or deep dives, please cite the original title and where possible (i.e. if publicly available), include a link to the source material.
- For custom research projects we've conducted for you: "Research by Sitch, commissioned by [your company name], reveals..."
- For collaborative research projects, we'll work together to determine the appropriate citation format.
- We respectfully ask that our data not be used in content that could negatively impact or criticise other organisations.
